Blog Block...

OK I realize that I have fallen way behind on my blog. I hate that it has happened, but one of my biggest problems is my new camera. My life in itself is rather boring, but I always have great pictures and stories of Abbey. However, Clark got me a new camera for Christmas, which I love, and I haven't learned to download pictures and videos from it yet. Now it is full and I can't even get them off to take new ones (keep in mind the video camera is in the same pitiful state, full and I don't know how to download it). So, my project this week is to learn to download my new camera. I have pictures from before Christmas on there. Anyway, I check all of your blogs on a daily basis so I am still in the loop, but I ask that you be patient with me for just a little while longer and please don't give up and stop checking my blog. I will have new things on here soon, I promise.

Happy Birthday, Abbey Girl!!!!

Today is Abbey's first birthday and we are so excited. Clark and I relived her arrival in our heads last night, how I couldn't sleep that night, I finally got out of bed and went in to her room and rocked in the rocking chair to soothe her and myself, how I came back to bed and just as I sat down on the edge of the bed my water broke at 4:15 on a Monday morning. Clark chimed in with how it scared him when I woke him up to tell him and then once he noticed I was calm, he was calm too. Then after a one hour drive, and a stop at the Conoco for breakfast, we made it to the hospital where I just walked in and told them I was in labor. I felt good and walked upstairs to the check in while he parked the car and they had me change clothes, checked me and I was already at 5 cm. I hit 10 cm by noon and Abbey Claire made her arrival at 2:13 pm. We were so happy. I can't believe it has been a year. Happy birthday our beautiful Abbey girl! You are the light in our lives and our love forever!

Abbey at Christmas

I know that I'm way behind on this blogging stuff, but we have had computer problems at home and I have moved offices at work so things have been packed up including my work computer. Anyway, I'm back on track in both places (although still behind for the holidays). I still do not have a tree up because I don't want to risk the chance that Abbey will pull it down. Tonight Clark should have the prelit tree up when I get home and all I'm going to do is stick a tree skirt around the bottom and put a couple of bows on it for color. I decided not to put my ornaments on this year, again for Abbey's sake. Next year we can decorate like normal. She does have a stocking and I will wait until Christmas to put the presents under the tree. We should end up with good pictures and little fuss for this year.
